The Minnesota Baseball Instructional School will be holding a Spring Prospect Camp for any and all 2021, 2022, and 2023 graduates on Saturday March 7th beginning at 8:30AM. This prospect camp will be a great opportunity for players in the 2021, 2022, and 2023 classes to gain exposure in front of the University of Minnesota coaching staff. Prior to the assessment portion of the prospect camp all players and families in attendance will have the opportunity to take a bus tour of the University of Minnesota’s campus and a walking tour of the athletic facilities. Once the camp begins, position players will take part in a showcase styleworkout with defensive and offensive assessments all evaluated by the Golden Gopher coaching staff. Pitchers will start their day by taking part in a pitching presentation led by Minnesota Pitching Coach Ty McDevitt. Following the presentation all pitchers will go through a circuit of pitching and arm care drills with the opportunity to throw an optional bullpen at the end of the prospect camp. NOTE: Our primary focus for the pitchers in attendance at this camp is to promote overall arm health and injury prevention. We fully understand all pitchers will be at different points in their off season workouts this time of year so your specific throwing protocol should determine whether or not you throw a bullpen at this camp. Upon completion of the prospect camp all players and families in attendance will have the option to stay and watch the 2020 Golden Gopher Baseball Team take on the University of Utah at US Bank Stadium at 6:00 PM! Gopher Baseball Camps are open to any and all entrants, limited only by number, age, grade level, and/or gender.
